Drake Drops The Video of A New Song “NOKIA”
Drake has officially dropped the video for his buzzing hit “NOKIA,” the standout track from his $ome $exy $ongs 4 U mixtape. Released Monday (March 31), the music video was shot entirely in IMAX and directed by longtime collaborator Theo Skudra.
In “NOKIA,” Drake organizes a couple of parties with his retro mobile in hand. The first unfolds as a Carnival-themed party filled with vibrant energy and dancers. Meanwhile, the second introduces dreamlike roller-blading escapades against a hazily beautiful backdrop of women and late-night vibes. The video stands somewhere between old-school glam and hyper-modernism, something only Drake could pull off so coolly
Also, he tends to become playful throughout the video. Sporting a “Drake” varsity basketball jersey and, in other visuals, a mock Valley Football jacket reading “Hotmoms.com.” The Toronto figure reminds one of a nostalgia-heavy self-parody of youthfulness. It’s a lighter, looser version of The Boy—one who’s clearly enjoying himself in the moment.

Also, it features Canadian and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who makes a sleek cameo. The NBA MVP frontrunner dons a bold “Vaffanculo” jacket and spotlights his new Converse signature sneaker line. Thus, merging fashion, sports, and music with seamless synergy.
The video concludes with Skudra stepping in front of the camera, surrounded by a Parliament of owls. In this way, subtle nodding to Drake’s OVO (October’s Very Own) brand.
Currently sitting at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, “NOKIA” is primed for a chart bump following the release of the visually arresting short film.
With $ome $exy $ongs 4 U now in the rearview, attention is turning toward Drake’s next solo album. The rapper is also slated to headline all three nights of London’s Wireless Festival this July, signaling that 2025 is shaping up to be yet another prolific year for The 6 God.
