Alkaline and New Era Productions Unite for “New Rules Festival” in New York City
Dancehall sensation Alkaline and New Era Productions have exciting news for their fans! The highly anticipated ‘New Rules Festival‘ is making its triumphant return to New York on September 3.
After its inaugural event in 2017, which attracted a staggering 30,000 enthusiastic patrons eager to witness Alkaline‘s electrifying performance, the festival has since seen four successful stagings in New York, Florida, and Jamaica.
This year’s edition of New Rules promises to be a spectacular affair, boasting an impressive lineup of talented artists set to grace the stage. Joining Alkaline will be Dancehall star Charly Black, Cameroonian-American Afrobeats singer Libianca, and St. Vincent and Grenadines artist Skinny Fabulous.
Charly Black is renowned for his infectious Dancehall tracks and earned his spot among the top 50 most-played artists at Electronic Music Festivals in The Netherlands for 2022, as recognized by Billboard Magazine.
Libianca, on the other hand, has made her mark on the Billboard charts with her hit track “People,” which was later remixed by Arya Starr and Omah Lay. Meanwhile, Skinny Fabulous is celebrated for a string of sensational Soca hits, including “Up and Up” and “Naked.”
In addition to the established acts, the festival will provide a platform for emerging talents like 1SkiMask, Tallup, Scrptiid, TopRo, and BillyB, who are all set to showcase their skills at the Mount Vernon Memorial Stadium, located north of the Bronx in Westchester County.
Kereena Beckford, Alkaline’s manager and event organizer, expressed her excitement for the upcoming event in an official release. She explained that the decision to bring New Rules back to New York was driven by the overwhelming demand from the enthusiastic fanbase in the area.
“New York has been waiting, and Labor Day weekend in New York City is the perfect time for New Rules Festival and The Man Himself, Alkaline. Everyone knows the caliber of showcase New Era Productions executes, and with this upcoming staging, we are raising the bar yet again. Our show’s platform has always catered to giving established and upcoming artistes a platform to shine, and this year will be no different; look at names,” Beckford said.
Gates will open at noon, and the show will kick off at 3:00 pm on the day of the festival.
