Buju Banton Launches ‘The Overcomer’ Arena Tour in the US After Smashing NY Concerts

Following the overwhelming success of two back-to-back sold-out shows, where more than 36,000 fans gathered at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York, Grammy award-winning reggae sensation Buju Banton has unveiled his first-ever arena tour, aptly named “The Overcomer”.

The highly anticipated tour kicks off on August 24 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the Amerant Bank Arena. From there, it will travel to various major cities across the United States, including Tampa, Washington DC, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, and Inglewood, culminating with a grand finale at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on November 17.

Expressing his immense pride, Buju Banton’s manager, Joseph Budafuco, highlighted the historic nature of this tour. The tour is a collaborative production involving black-owned AG Touring, Gargamel Music, XO Management, Mammoth, and Eventim.

Accompanied by his Shiloh Band, Buju Banton delivered two electrifying 90-minute performances in New York, solidifying his record-breaking status as the first reggae artist to achieve such a feat in just two days. “The Overcomer” tour will feature a special guest performance by Fridayy, a talented Haitian American singer, songwriter, and record producer known for hits like “When It Comes To You,” “Stand By Me,” “Without You,” and the triple Grammy-nominated track “God Did” by DJ Khaled featuring Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, and John Legend.
