
Kaedi Philo Releases New Solo Track “Seasons Changing”
Rising recording artist Kaedi Philo has made her solo debut with the release of “Seasons Changing”, a heartfelt reggae track that highlights her Jamaican heritage and artistic versatility. Alongside an official music video, the song has already begun to resonate with audiences worldwide.
Kaedi Philo, whose real name is Kaedi Dalley, was born and raised in the United States but proudly embraces her Jamaican roots. Her parents hail from rural Jamaica, and she credits her heritage for shaping her musicality and creativity. Speaking about her debut track, Kaedi shared her desire to contribute positively to reggae music and amplify the voices of Jamaican Americans navigating their identity.
“I want to contribute positively to a space that has helped my writing and musicality,” said Kaedi in an interview. “I just want to help be one of the numerous voices of Jamaican Americans from New York that love their heritage.”
“Seasons Changing” is a collaborative effort produced by 29 West Productions, with contributions from notable figures like Richard “Bobo” Bell, Lynford “Fatta” Marshall, and Shvne. The song’s lyrics were co-written by Kaedi herself, alongside Bell, Marshall, and Shane Njoloma. The accompanying music video, directed by Fernando Hevia, visually captures the song’s themes of perseverance and optimism.
Kaedi Philo is also known as a member of Citizen Queen, an all-female vocal group acclaimed for their covers and compilations like Ariana Grande’s No Tears Left To Cry and Evolution of Girl Groups. While she continues to thrive as part of the group, Kaedi’s solo venture represents an exciting new chapter in her career.
