Tems will launch a transformative new initiative aimed at empowering young women in the music industry. The “Leading Vibe Initiative” will provide aspiring female musicians and creatives with the opportunity to sharpen their skills. Additionally, it will allow them to expand their industry knowledge.

The Lagos-born singer is organizing a two-day seminar in her hometown on August 8 and 9. Hence, the seminar will mentor women between 15 and 20. The program will offer participants a comprehensive experience, including songwriting and music production workshops. Also, it consists of studio sessions and panel discussions. Yet, the most exciting parts are one-on-one meet-and-greets with prominent industry executives and creatives. Additionally, attendees will receive production software and other essential resources to further their careers.

Tems said. She has also mentioned that they are providing them with tools to find their own voice and signature.

Hence, the program will kick off with mentorship and guidance from industry leaders, with the full list of speakers and mentors. Thus, their names are going to be revealed soon. The deadline for applications is July 13.

Tems’ move to uplift emerging female talent comes as she continues to blaze trails in the music world. With her unique blend of R&B, soul, Afrobeats, and alté, she has set herself apart from many of her peers. Tems has gained two Grammy Awards, making her the first Nigerian artist to achieve it. Notably, she also owns a stake in the MLS franchise, San Diego FC.

In partnership with Native Instruments, the program will receive tech support from the renowned music production company. It will provide cutting-edge tools for the participants. Tems has also joined the Native Instruments artist board. Now she is in the same roster as Alicia Keys, Noah “40” Shebib, Jacob Collier, and Ludwig Goransson.

Through the Leading Vibe Initiative, Tems is setting the stage for a new generation of women to break barriers and redefine the global music landscape.
