Tems Will Headline The FIFA World Cup Halftime Show
In a historical moment, Tems was chosen to headline the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA Club World Cup final. The global spectacle is set to take place on July 13 at MetLife Stadium in New York. Thus, it marks a major cultural moment where music and sport collide on one of football’s biggest stages.
Joining Tems on the lineup are Colombian reggaetón star J Balvin and American rapper Doja Cat. So, the international trio will deliver an unforgettable performance to a worldwide audience.
Produced by the advocacy organization Global Citizen, the halftime show will take place live and for free on DAZN.com. Thus, it will open the gates for fans around the world to experience the moment in real time.
Speaking about the upcoming performance, Tems expressed excitement and a deeper intention behind the show’s global platform.
“We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund,” she said. “I can’t wait. See you at the FIFA Club World Cup final!”
Tems’ manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi, confirmed the news on social media. He thanked both FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans for the opportunity.
Tems and Helping Enforce Education
Thus, beyond the music, the halftime show carries an ambitious philanthropic mission. According to Global Citizen, the event’s goal is to raise over $100 million for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. It supports youth education initiatives and FIFA’s Football for Schools program across more than 200 countries. So, $1 from every ticket sold to matches during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the U.S. will go directly to the fund.
“With performances from artists across Africa, South America, and North America, this event reflects Global Citizen’s core belief: that music and unity can help solve the world’s greatest challenges,” said the organization in a statement.
