Gunna and Offset Reunite for Flex-Heavy “Prada Dem” Video
Georgia rappers Gunna and Offset linked up once again for the release of “Prada Dem” . The track boasts lavish boasts and addresses recent legal troubles.
An ode to the Italian fashion house, “Prada Dem” finds Gunna and Offset trading verses over woozy synths and a frenetic high-hat pattern. Gunna, known for his association with YSL, uses the song to deflect snitching allegations stemming from his Alford Plea deal in the RICO case last December.
“I set the trend, I’m a trendsetter (Yeah)/ I’m not a rat, still getting cheddar,” raps Gunna in a clear defense.
The opulent music video, directed by Leff, follows the rappers through the streets of New York City before they commandeer the iconic 5th Avenue Prada store, turning it into a personalized runway for their designer duds.
“Young rich bastard, I got 10 figures/ Run a n—a pockets, I ain’t friends with him (Uh-uh)/ 10 years in and I’m still winning,” spits Offset, flaunting his wealth and longevity in the game.
This collaboration marks a significant moment for Gunna. “Prada Dem” is the first track featuring a major rapper alongside Gunna since his plea deal. Several industry figures, including Lil Baby, distanced themselves from Gunna amidst the YSL legal drama, with Young Thug still incarcerated.
Despite the controversy, Gunna remains active. He also appears on Flo Milli’s recently released album Fine Ho, Stay on the collaborative track “Edible.”
