Dancehall artist Pamputtae expresses her ambition to join Nicki Minaj‘s highly anticipated Pink Friday 2 tour, set to commence in the United States on March 1.

In a recent Instagram Story, the “Ride It” deejay voiced her desire, lamenting her lack of a US work permit but expressing confidence in her ability to contribute to the tour. Minaj, acknowledging Pamputtae’s aspiration, responded with words of encouragement, hinting at potential future collaborations.

Minaj’s upcoming tour has already generated substantial buzz, with over 25 arenas selling out within days of presale, as reported by Live Nation Entertainment. R&B singer Monica is the sole announced supporting act for the American leg, drawing inspiration from Minaj’s early musical influences.

Pamputtae’s eagerness to join the tour was evident during Minaj’s recent Instagram Live session, where the dancehall artist caught Minaj’s attention in the comments. Prompted by Minaj’s invitation, Pamputtae hinted at her availability for the Canadian tour dates in April, leveraging her existing Canadian visa.

The connection between Pamputtae and Minaj dates back to 2021 when Minaj endorsed Pamputtae’s music on Instagram, catapulting the Jamaican artist into the international spotlight.
