The hip-hop world is ablaze after Drake and Rick Ross unleashed a fiery exchange of diss tracks, seemingly escalating a simmering tension between the two rap titans.

This all comes after a leaked, unmastered version of Drake’s track, tentatively titled “Push Ups,” surfaced online, sparking debate about its authenticity. DJ Akademiks later intervened, premiering a polished version of the song, confirming Drake’s lyrical assault.

“Push Ups” appears to be a response to Kendrick Lamar’s scorching verse on “Like That,” a track that ignited the rap game weeks ago. However, Drake doesn’t stop there, taking aim at a wider circle of industry peers including Future, Metro Boomin, The Weeknd, and even Rick Ross.

The OVO boss throws barbs at Lamar’s height and financial standing within Top Dawg Entertainment. He raps, “How the fk you big steppin’ with a size seven men’s on? / Your last one bricked, you really not on st / They make excuses for you ’cause they hate to see me lit / Pull your contract ’cause we gotta see the split / Ain’t no way you doin’ splits b***h your pants might rip.”

Drake continues his tirade, targeting Rick Ross with personal attacks referencing his past as a corrections officer and suggesting he owes career success to collaborations like “Gold Roses,” “Money in the Grave,” and “Stay Schemin’.” He raps, “I might take your latest girl and cuff her like I’m Ricky / Can’t believe he jumpin’ in, this n***a turnin’ 50 / Every song that made it on the chart, he got from Drizzy / Spend that lil’ check you got and stay up out my business.”

Rick Ross wasted no time in firing back with his own diss track, “Champagne Moments.” The MMG mogul throws shade at Drake’s flow, claiming he stole it from Lil Wayne, and even digs up an alleged past nose job. One line reads, “That’s why you had an operation to make your nose smaller than your father nose.”

The social media mudslinging continued with Ross posting photos comparing his face to Drake’s on Instagram, mockingly referring to him as “BBL Drizzy.” Drake responded with a playful text message exchange with his mom, denying the surgery claims and calling Ross a “nosey goof.”

As of now, Kendrick Lamar has yet to respond to Drake’s “Push Ups,” and the track itself remains unreleased on streaming services. With the barbs flying, it seems the rap feud between Drake and Rick Ross is just heating up.
